Itinerary
Day 1: Tour through the culture and fortresses of the Sacred Valley
We begin the day by picking you up from your hotel to leave the city toward the Sacred Valley. Our first stop is Awanacancha, where you can see alpacas and llamas up close, and learn how the locals use plants to dye wool and make their weavings. Then, we will go to Pisac to visit its ruins located at the top of the mountain and later go down to its artisan market, perfect for buying souvenirs. At noon, we will enjoy a buffet lunch with local food at a restaurant in the valley. Finally, we will visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, a place with giant stone terraces that the Incas used for defense and religion. Upon finishing, we will return to Cusco.

Recommendations
- Shoes: Use sneakers with good soles, as you will climb many stone steps in Ollantaytambo.
- Sun: The valley is warmer than Cusco, but the sun is strong. Use sunscreen and a hat.
- Coat: Bring a light jacket; the weather can change or get windy in the afternoon.
- Camera: Make sure you have battery; the landscapes at the Taray Viewpoint are among the best.
- Money: Carry cash in soles for the Pisac market; some artisans do not accept cards.

- Stairs: This tour includes walks up stone stairways; take it easy so you do not get out of breath.
