Itinerary City Tour Cusco

Day 1: Tour through the temples and ruins of Cusco

We begin the tour by picking you up from your hotel to go directly to the city center. The first stop is the Cusco Cathedral, where you will see ancient paintings and plenty of colonial history. Then we will walk toward the Qoricancha, which was the most important temple dedicated to the Sun; there you can clearly see how the Spaniards built over the stone walls of the Incas. Afterward, we will take our transportation to go slightly outside the city toward the Saqsayhuaman Fortress, a place with enormous stones that fit together perfectly. Finally, we will visit Qenqo, a site with stone tunnels that were used for religious ceremonies. Upon finishing, we will bring you back to the center of Cusco.

It includes:

  • Pickup from your hotel (as long as it is in the city center).
  • Shared transportation with other travelers.
  • Professional guide who speaks Spanish and English.
  • Help from our team at all times.

Not Include

  • Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC): This is the ticket needed to enter the ruins.
  • Entrance fees to the Cathedral and Qoricancha: These payments are made at the entrance door.
  • Food or drinks during the tour.
  • Tips for the guide or the driver.

Recommendations

  • Shoes: Use comfortable sneakers, as you will walk on stone and dirt streets.

  • Sun: The sun in Cusco burns strong. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

  • Water: Carry a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

  • Clothing: Bring a jacket or coat handy; when the sun goes down, it gets cold all of a sudden.

  • First day: We recommend taking this tour on your first day so you do not get too tired.

Important

  • Documents: Do not forget to carry your original ID or Passport; they will be requested at the entrances.
  • Punctuality: Be ready at the agreed time so as not to delay the group.
  • Entrance fees: Have cash in soles to buy the entrance tickets if you do not have them yet.
