Day 1: Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain – Easy Alternative
We begin the day by picking you up from your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. We will travel south of Cusco for about 3 hours until we reach the district of Checacupe, where we can see a unique colonial bridge. After a nutritious breakfast, we will continue the journey to the starting point of the hike. We will walk peacefully for about 45 minutes to 1 hour along a path with little elevation change. From the very first moment, you will be able to see the colorful mountains and the famous Stone Forest. You will have plenty of time for photos and to enjoy the fresh air before returning for lunch and heading back to Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
