Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco City Tour
We will begin by picking you up from your hotel to visit the Cusco Cathedral and the Qoricancha temple, where we will see the blend of Inca and Spanish cultures. Then, we will head slightly out of the city to see the Saqsayhuaman Fortress, known for its giant stones, and the ceremonial site of Qenqo. This half-day tour is ideal for gradually acclimatizing to the altitude.
Day 2: Sacred Valley Full Day
This day we will explore the heart of the Andes. We depart from Cusco toward the Sacred Valley, first visiting Awanacancha to see alpacas and local textiles. Next, we will go up to the Pisac ruins and visit its famous artisan market. After a delicious buffet lunch in the valley, we will end the day exploring the impressive Ollantaytambo fortress before returning to the city of Cusco in the afternoon.
